ABOUT THE CLASS
Ever wonder what would happen if you got on stage and had to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
This 2-day workshop is all about taking the true stories of your life and finding the humor in the hard lessons.
Participants will learn the art and craft of true, first-person comedic narrative and have an opportunity to show us how you laughed through the tears in a showcase featuring your story.
It all culminates in a performance on Wednesday, June 3 in which you can share your story with the world!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Susanne Schmidt (she/her) MS, LCMHC is a comedic storyteller, producer, story instructor, and international speaker.
Her work has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, National Public Radio and HBO’s Inspiration Room.
Susanne was voted "The Best of The Valley Voices" by New England Public Media in 2019 and 2023 and is a recipient of a Webby for her story House on Fire.
She works as a host, producer and story instructor for The Moth and a story coach for the PBS World Channel series Stories from the Stage.

Covid-19 Policy: Vaccinations and boosters are recommended but not required. Masking is at the student’s discretion.
Cancellation Policy: We will refund 100% of tuition for cancellations made 14 days (or more) before the start of any class. Tuition cannot be refunded on cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the class. Contact us if you wish to cancel.
Concerns About Payment? If you have the desire to learn, we want you to have the opportunity! We frequently offer installment plans and partial or full scholarships (need-based and diversity). If you are having trouble affording this class, contact us to work out an arrangement.
