Accessibility
Vermont Comedy Arts is committed to accessibility. VCA’s classes and events predominantly take place at the Vermont Comedy Club (101 Main Street, Burlington), which is an ADA-accessible space. The main entrance is on the ground floor (double doors on Pine Street), and the space has ADA-accessible restrooms for the public and performers.
The lounge has low tables, and in the showroom, chairs and tables can be re-arranged to accommodate wheelchair users. Additionally, there is a ramp that makes the stage accessible. We also provide disabled performers with clip-on microphones when needed.
Several times per year, the integration of ASL interpreters and live captioning is offered at Vermont Comedy Club shows.
Please contact us if you have needs or concerns surrounding the accessibility of VCA/VCC classes, shows or events!
Wheelchair
Vermont Comedy Club’s entryway nearest the Box Office on Pine Street is at street level, and all spaces (lounge, showroom, green room) are at that same level except the stage, which is a 10” platform with a ramp. All restrooms are ADA-accessible. Showroom easily accommodates patrons in wheelchairs.
Restrooms
Vermont Comedy Club has two restrooms that are open to the public. Both are ADA-accessible and marked as gender neutral, and signage lists what each restroom features inside (urinals and one stall; stalls/no urinals, etc.).
